Vince Carter insists he won't force his offence, but on nights when he's not getting any support the Raptors' franchise player has been reluctant to assert himself.

In their 93-88 loss to the Washington Wizards on Dec. 16, Carter was held scoreless in the second half after pouring in 19 points in the first quarter.

In their 102-94 loss on Christmas Day to the New York Knicks, Carter took only six first-half shots.

For the game, Carter was held to 15 points, his lowest total since opening night when he scored 11 points in a 114-85 loss to the Orlando Magic.

"No, why?'' Carter said when asked if he should be more selfish in demanding the ball. "I'm not going to force shots."

Perhaps, but the Raptors need to do a better job of getting Carter better looks.
