Last summer the Chicago Bulls almost completed a deal for Minnesota's Wally Szczerbiak that would have sent Ron Mercer and Marcus Fizer back to the Twin Cities.

A few months later Wally is a candidate for the NBA's most improved player, with most believing that his improvment is tied in with his move to shooting guard.

Ironically it was the Bulls who were hesitant, with coach Tim Floyd not knowing where/how to play him after the Bulls signed Eddie Robinson.  Another factor was Jerry Krause and his reluctance to take Anthony Peeler, whose contract runs through the 2004-05 season.  

Now if only Krause was given a time machine for Christmas...
