MAGIC UPDATE: The Magic beat the Wizards 96-87 on Dec. 1 in Washington, but everything has changed since then. They are no longer awaiting the return of Grant Hill, who is out for the season after ankle surgery. They are without Tracy McGrady, who scored 26 points on Dec. 1 but is in Atlanta getting treatment for his lower back strain. The Magic are coming off a spirited victory against Utah on Wednesday in their first game without Hill and McGrady. Armstrong is back to his old role, the energetic defensive force/playmaker, despite having tightness in his lower back.

WIZARDS UPDATE: The Wizards have won seven in a row and are looking like a playoff team. Hamilton is red hot. His emergence is making life much easier on Jordan. Hamilton averaged 28.5 points in four victories last week to win player-of-the-week honors. The Wizards are also getting good play from Tyronn Lue and Brendan Haywood off the bench.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Jordan likely will guard Miller, who had 21 points and seven turnovers Wednesday night. It will be important for Miller to make Jordan work on defense. Williams figures to draw the defensive assignment against Jordan. Reserve centers Patrick Ewing and Haywood went at each other Dec. 1, each scoring 18 points.
