The New York Daily News' Mitch Lawrence wonders whether Madison Square Gardens CEO Jim Dolan is contemplating dumping team president Scott Layden.  Layden has two years (and about $2 million)left on his contract.

Lawrence says Dolan has been getting increasingly active in Knicks affairs since he fired Dave Checketts back in May.  Lawrence runs through the various possible replacements.

He also mentions that Clippers owner Donald Sterling recently turned down $350 million to sell the team.  He didn't know where else he'd take his friends.

Also, Penny Hardaway gives huge praise to Dajuan Wagner, expected to be a top-three in June's draft.  And he says the Pistons knew about Grant Hill's injury problems before letting him go to Orlando.
