It was like turning off a light switch.

Once Tracy McGrady paused to catch his breath, everything went dark for the Orlando Magic.

And the Los Angeles Clippers sealed the door shut.

McGrady led everyone with a season-high 47 points, but the Clippers capitalized on the Magic's lack of balance, taking a 100-92 victory Monday night at Staples Center.

The Clippers won the game early in the fourth quarter when McGrady went cold, missing three shots and three free throws before finally making his first basket of the period with 3:53 remaining.

McGrady hit 17 of 32 shots. He scored nine points in the fourth quarter, but all but one came with less than four minutes remaining, after the Clippers already had taken control.

The Magic led 76-75 going into the fourth, but the Clippers (11-10) used a 17-3 run at the start of the fourth to climb above .500 for the first time this season.

The Magic made a final run, climbing to within 95-90 and had the ball with 36 seconds remaining, but Darius Miles blocked two shots -- one by McGrady -- to ice the victory.
