Is Michael Jordan really worth all this fuss?  According to Sam Smith.... no.  While he advocated that Jordan play on in 93' and 98', and acknowledges that Jordan is still extrememly skilled and will once again be near the top of the scoring ranks, one must face the facts that Michael Jordan is no longer as entertaining as he once was, even though people want to hold onto that perception?  Is he correct?  Depends on who you ask.

But the crowds will still come because the name and the look speaks 'Michael Jordan'.  There will be no more championships, which used to be his driving force, and Smith notes it will be interesting to see which of the young players can embarrass him as he once did Larry Bird, Julius Erving and the elderly legends of his era.  After all against Kobe or Carter the games greatest may not even be the greatest on the court.
