The Associated Press' Chris Sheridan gives us a quick rundown of the remaining available free agents and possible trade bait:

Anthony Mason: Miami has turned down a trade with Milwaukee for Scott Williams, Philly has turned down Miami's request for Eric Snow. Mason's agent believes something will get done soon as he doesn't think Miami wants to let Mason go without getting anything in return.

Chris Gatling: Miami has talked of using their traded player exception to acquire Gatling. He would have to agree to a $2 million salary in order to keep the heat below the estimated luxury tax limit.

Charlie Ward: The Knicks say they don't intend to trade Ward before training camp but many teams confirm that Charlie is on the "trading block".

Marc Jackson: Houston may be interested but is waiting for the league to approve a disabled player exception to replace Maurice Taylor.

A.C. Green: He may return to Miami, but not until the Mason situation is solved.
