It only took 27 games, but Courtney Alexander was able to establish himself as one of the top rookies while in Washington. The Washington Post's Steve Wyche reports that Alexander was named to the NBA's all-rookie second team. He spent most of the season in Dallas where he watched the action from the bench. After the Juwan Howard trade brought him to Washington, he was able to play. He averaged 17 points per game over the 27 games he played with the Wiz.
