Green declined a $27.6 million player option for next season. The expectation is that the veteran forward is looking for long-term security by adding years to his contract. A three-year contract would align Green's deal with that of Stephen Curry.
There has been some speculation that the Sacramento Kings could pursue Green in free agency. Sacramento created the ability to get up to nearly $36 million in cap space this summer. That has led to the idea that the Kings could try to bring Green to Sacramento.
