Caron Butler, who has missed the last three games, had an MRI performed on his left ankle on Wednesday.
The results were consistent with the initial diagnosis (sprained left ankle) and he will continue to be listed as day-to-day. Butler has averaged 21.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 27 games for the Wizards so far this season.

After Tuesday's game, Caron Butler said that he will be getting an MRI done on his left ankle on Wednesday.
The ankle, which remains painful and swollen following the initial injury in which Butler rolled it on Christmas Day in Cleveland, is bruised and has a knot on the inside-lower area, just off the ankle itself.

Wizards' president Ernie Grunfeld believes guard Gilbert Arenas is close to returning to the court.
"He'll come back as soon as he's ready," Grunfeld said. "He's getting close."
However, Grunfeld knows no timetable for his return.
"I don't know," he said. "He's working hard but no timetable. Whenever he's ready."
Even if Washington is out of the playoff hunt when he is able to return, they want Arenas on the court so he can get into a rhythm with the team.
