Grunfeld: Talent Available At No. 18

The Wizards are looking to improve through next month's draft, and President Ernie Grunfeld is confident help can be found at the eighteenth pick, according The Washington Post.

"It's always an exciting time of year," Grunfeld said. "You get to see a lot of prospects, and you can always find a good player."

"As we look at the draft, we think we can get a good player at 18," Grunfeld added. "It's a deep draft."

Gabriel, Lindsey, Sheppard, Wohl On Short List For Hawks' GM Job

Portland Trail Blazers' personnel scout John Gabriel, San Antonio Spurs' assistant general manager Dennis Lindsey, Washington Wizards' vice president of basketball administration Tommy Sheppard, and Boston Celtics' assistant general manager Dave Wohl make up the list of four potential candidates for the Hawks' GM role, Marc Stein from ESPN.com is reporting.

Former Sixers' GM Billy King and Chris Grant, the assistant GM in Cleveland, would only be considered if the team expands their list.

Outgoing GM Billy Knight is believed to be a candidate in New York to work alongside new Knicks' President Donnie Walsh.

Etan Thomas Expected To Be In Camp

Etan Thomas is expected to be in camp with the Wizards at the start of next season, according to The Washington Post.

He missed the entire 2007-08 season after having open-heart surgery but should be full speed by the end of the summer.

He averaged 6.1 points and 5.8 rebounds for Washington during the 2006-07 season.
