Boozer Says Miami Rumors Are Just Talk
Next season Boozer can opt out of the final year of his current contract with the Jazz and negotiate a potential six-year deal worth an estimated to $136 million. From July 1 to Oct. 31, Utah has an exclusive window to negotiate an extension of Deron's rookie contract. Williams could sign for as long as five years and as much as approximately $90 million. Utah forward Carlos Boozer says that rumors involving him and the Miami Heat are just talk, according to The Deseret News.
On Monday the Jazz can start negotiations with point guard Deron Williams on a contract extension, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.
The Jazz exercised the team option on forward Paul Millsap and made a qualifying offer to guard C.J. Miles on Saturday, according to an Associated Press report.
