Jackson gets ring

Last night, before the Atlanta Hawks played the San Antonio Spurs, Stephen Jackson received his championship ring.

The crowd in the SBC Center gave Jackson a standing ovation, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich came to give Jackson a hug and the public address anouncer said, "Stephen Jackson, you are a champion."

Spurs wanted Jasikevicius

"Before they lost Tony Parker to an ankle injury last month, San Antonio tried to convince Lithuania point guard Sarunas Jasikevicius to jump to the NBA. Jasikevicius outdueled Parker at the European Championships, then followed the semifinal victory over France by leading his country to an unexpected championship triumph over Pau Gasol's Spain."

No. 50 hangs it up

Robinson, quite literally larger than life, took center court one final time at the SBC Center, where a packed house watched a post-game, 16-minute tribute video and paid homage to him during a ceremony that retired his No. 50 jersey.
