Artest: Kings Need Moore To Win

Ron Artest doesn't think the Kings can win without teammate Mikki Moore on the floor, according to the Sacramento Bee.

"We need Mikki in the game to win," Artest said. "We're not beating nobody without him, and he knows that."

"He's the only player on the Kings that can dunk on somebody, first (of all), and that sucks the life out of the other team most of the time," Artest added. "He can shoot very well. He can probably can shoot almost (as well), if not better, than (Kings' center) Brad (Miller), but nobody (opponents) knows that. (But) we know that."

Everyone Optimistic Udrih Has Future In Sactown?

Both the Kings and Beno Udrih believe he will be their starting point guard for many seasons to come.

"Everybody feels he has been a great acquisition," Kings basketball president Geoff Petrie said. "But the free-agency thing … I can't talk about."

"It's certainly been a good fit," said Udrih's agent, Marc Cornstein. "When the season is over, I'll sit down with Beno and go over the priorities, but I would have to guess playing time and role are the most important."

Udrih Could Have A Future In Sacramento

Beno Udrih, who has been playing very well as of late, could have a permanent home with the Kings, according to the Sacramento Bee.

He was cut by the Timberwolves after being traded by the Spurs before the start of the 2007-08 season, and an injury to then-King Mike Bibby gave him the opportunity to play starter's minutes.

Sacramento appears primed to offer Udrih their mid-level exception this offseason.

"This is the team that gave me an opportunity to show myself," he said. "I'm really happy here. I like it. We'll see what comes at the end."
