Sixers Looking To Draft A Sharpshooter

The Sixers are looking to improve upon their league-worst three-point shooting attack by taking a sharpshooter in June's NBA Draft, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

General Manager and President Ed Stefanski is taking a long look at prospects like West Virginia's Joe Alexander and Arizona's Chase Budinger.

However, if both are off the board he'll have to decide between Chris Douglas-Roberts of Memphis and Brandon Rush of Kansas.

"We need a shooter, we need a [center or power forward], and maybe down the line we need a point guard, too," Stefanski said Tuesday. "This draft is deep enough that we think we can get the best player available and pick for a need, too."

"I don't know if we'll get a guy who can step in right away, but we feel comfortable that we'll get a player to add to the team. With all of the young guys that we have, starting [in the rotation] right away may be difficult," he added.

Sixers In No Rush To Extend Miller

Andre Miller represents an expiring $10 million contract at the end of next season; therefore, the Sixers are in no rush to sign him to an extension. That expiring deal could become a huge trade chip during February's trade deadline.

RealGM Note: Miller was ranked 33rd in season FIC and had a +36% Reina Value ('deserved' to make $12.5 million).
