Divers Search For Missing Father Of Jameer Nelson

Divers resumed searching the Delaware River on Friday for the father of Orlando Magic guard Jameer Nelson.

Floyd "Pete" Nelson was reported missing from his job at a tugboat repair shop about noon Thursday.

Floyd Nelson was last seen near the water, and officials said it was feared that he had fallen into the river just south of the Commodore Barry Bridge.

Mayor Wendell Butler said the U.S. Coast Guard and divers searched the waters until dark Thursday and the search resumed shortly after 8 a.m. Friday.

Outlaw Will Likely Be On Orlando's Training Camp Roster

Veteran forward Bo Outlaw is not on the Magic roster at this point, and he is unlikely to receive a guaranteed contract, but there is a good chance that he will be on the training camp roster, hoping to earn a spot for this season.

Orlando Signs Marcin Gortat

The Orlando Magic have signed forward-center Marcin Gortat General Manager Otis Smith announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed. Gortat was originally selected by Phoenix in the second round (57th overall) of the 2005 NBA Draft. His rights were acquired by Orlando on draft night (June 28, 2005) in exchange for cash considerations. Gortat recently played in all five games with the Magic during the Pepsi Pro Summer League, averaging 10.0 ppg., 6.8 rpg., 2.6 apg. and 3.20 blkpg. in 30.8 minpg. He has participated with Orlando’s summer league team the last three years.
