In a conference call with season ticket holders, Nets president Rod Thorn hinted that the Nets could offer two max deals in the summer of 2010.
Thorn suggested that the team could offer two max deals in 2010 "if we so choose."
He also left open the possibility of restocking the team's roster this year by trading some of New Jersey's seven expiring contracts, and bypassing their 2010 plans, if they can land the right player.

The New Jersey Nets have exercised the team option on the contract of forward Jarvis Hayes for the 2009-10 season, Nets President Rod Thorn announced on Monday.
“Jarvis was a key member of our rotation last season, providing instant scoring and the ability to stretch the defense,” said Thorn. “We are pleased to have him continue as a member of our roster, and look forward to a similar contribution this season.”

Nets president Rod Thorn says that the team is committed to Yi Jianlian as a starting forward.
Thorn added that New Jersey isn't necessarily going to shop for a power forward.
"We're constantly on the lookout to see what is available, but as of right now, certainly Yi is the guy there to start," he said. "I think he's going to be fine."
