Offers Pouring In For Rubio

Ricky Rubio has become the most sought after player in the NBA.

Executives across the league are flooding Timberwolves president David Kahn's office with calls offering trades for Rubio.

The Wolves, however, are in no hurry to trade Rubio.

"The last thing we needed to do was be demanding and assertive. Not now," Kahn said. "I don't know how this is going to play out. There could be a lot of twists and turns. But I don't feel any self-imposed pressure that this needs to be resolved or concluded in any short fashion."

Rubio Says He's Leaning Towards Remaining In Spain

Ricky Rubio remains confused about where he will be playing this season.

"I have more uncertainty about my future now than before the draft; every minute I'm in a different place," Rubio told the El Periodico newspaper of Barcelona in Monday's edition.

Rubio and his father were to quietly fly to Minneapolis last Saturday for conversations with Wolves president of basketball operations David Kahn.

"It's like being in a bag and not knowing what is going up or down," Rubio said. "For now, I think I may return to the ACB, but we'll see."

Wolves Turned Down Knicks' Offer For 5th Pick

The Knicks offered the Timberwolves the eighth pick and forward Wilson Chandler for the fifth selection in last week's NBA Draft.

Minnesota declined and used the fifth overall pick on Ricky Rubio.

Reports indicate that New York would have used the selection on Rubio, not Stephen Curry.
