Dirk Nowitzki left the Mavericks' 105-103 win over the Bucks with 10:56 remaining in the third quarter and did not return.
The 7-0 forward was taken to the locker room with 3:42 remaining in the second quarter after stepping on the foot of Milwaukee center Brian Skinner and rolling his ankle. He attempted to return after the half, but left the game for good after just one minute.

Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder Tuesday, the team announced.
The procedure was performed by Dr. David Altchek at the The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
Villanueva's rehabilitation is expected to take four to six months. He should be ready for training camp in October.

Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace on Sunday was suspended one game without pay by the NBA for exceeding the league's technical-foul rule.
The volatile Wallace was handed his league-high 18th technical foul of the season Friday in the second quarter of a loss to theSpurs.
Wallace will serve his suspension Sunday afternoon when the Pistons visit the Bucks.
