X-rays were negative, but coach Marc Iavaroni made it clear that rushing Gasol's return to the court is not an option. Gasol was hoping it was one of those injuries where after a couple of trips down the floor, the pain would disappear. But after running up and down the Conseco Fieldhouse floor, Gasol felt his ankle start to blow up. So with 7:22 left in the opening quarter against Indiana Wednesday night, Gasol headed to the locker room, his night finished after playing just four minutes, 38 seconds.
