Baron Sidelined By A Number Of Ailments

Clippers guard Baron Davis sat out the team's game against the Rockets on Saturday night with a strained calf and a recurrence of stomach ulcers.

Davis also sat out Friday night's loss to the Spurs after he strained his calf in Wednesday's victory over the Knicks.

"It comes and goes. Once it calms down, I'll be able to play," Davis said of the ulcers, which he has dealt with before in his career. "It kind of just came on."

West: I Won't Be GM Of Clippers

Jerry West has denied rumors that he could become the next general manager of the Los Angeles Clippers.

"That's just not true. I just had a courtesy meeting with them, but there was no job offer. They wanted some opinions about their team, but Elgin Baylor is a good friend of mine and I certainly wouldn't be one to succeed him," West told the Los Angeles Times.
