Dirk: "All We Can Do Is Come Out Swinging"

Following the Mavericks' Game 4 loss, Dirk Nowitzki was asked about the confidence level of the team facing a 3-1 deficit.

"Look in the locker room right now," Nowitzki said. "Everyone is very disappointed. Obviously, we just lost a tough, tough game.

"All we can do is come out swinging. We know this team won't give up. We have a lot of pride, a lot of heart.

"Come out swinging. That's the only thing we've got."

Davis, Warriors One Win Away From Historic Playoff Upset

Baron Davis bedeviled the Mavericks one more time -- and now his crazy, carefree Warriors are one win away from a historic playoff upset.

Davis had five of his 33 points and two key assists in the final 3 1/2 minutes, and the Warriors roared from behind for a 103-99 victory Sunday night to take a 3-1 lead over the NBA's best team in their first-round playoff series.

Johnson: 'I've Got To Do A Better Job'

The Mavericks have trailed after one quarter in all three games of the first round series against Golden State. Their average deficit is just under six points. In a series that's all about holes, that's another one they haven't been able to climb out of in two of the three games.

"I expect a lot from this team," Johnson said after Saturday's practice. "I take full responsibility because it's my job. When something goes wrong, it's definitely all my fault. I got to do a better job of preparing them to play in these games."
