One night after Los Angeles Clippers guard Shaun Livingston dislocated his left knee in gruesome fashion, the Warriors had a scary moment of their own Wednesday.
Forward Josh Powell spent the night at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee as a precautionary measure after a chilling collision late in the Warriors' 122-101 loss to the Bucks. More about his injury, which was apparently to the head and/or neck, will be known today when, according to a team official, Powell is expected to join the Warriors in Chicago.
Hustling after a loose ball with just over a minute to play, Powell dived at the feet of Bucks guard Lynn Greer. Powell kept sliding and rammed into the scorer's table headfirst.
The remaining crowd and the Warriors bench gasped as Powell lay on his back for several seconds with what looked like a neck injury.

Guard Stephen Jackson, who has been one of the most important Warriors at trying to fill the void left behind as point guard Baron Davis recovers from arthroscopic knee surgery, had X-rays taken of his left big toe after pain flared up during Sunday's game.
Jackson termed the move ``precautionary,'' and the team said it would not release a definitive diagnosis until today.
Jackson said he has dealt with pain on the bottom of his foot for a couple of years, but it worsened significantly after a Laker, possibly 275-pound center Andrew Bynum, landed on him during the second half.
``Today I got it stepped on, and the pain got to the point where it was too much to bear, so I wanted to get it X-rayed and see what the problem was,'' Jackson said. ``My big toe is just real bruised, and I just want to make sure it's a bruise and nothing else.''
``It would be tough'' if Jackson is sidelined, Warriors guard Jason Richardson said. ``Steve is a guy who scores for us, does a lot of things. But it's been like that all season long, where we haven't been healthy.''

Baron Davis was at the Warriors' game on Saturday against the Clippers.
Davis said he was going to continue to work in Los Angeles with physical therapist Judy Seto. He has a check-up slated for early next week.
``As far as I know, I'm here until I'm cleared (medically),'' Davis said. ``I can't wait to get back and work with my strength and conditioning guys and the coaching staff and be making progress toward getting back on the court. I miss my teammates. I miss my coaches. I miss being out there.''
