After 12 years officiating in the NBA, Violet Palmer will add referee coordinator for the West Coast Conference to her resume.
Palmer became the first woman to officiate a major U.S. professional sport when she made her NBA debut Oct. 31, 1997.
A previous report indicated that Palmer would be leaving the NBA, but she will continue her officiating duties as well.

Agents of players in this year's draft have been very demanding and restrictive when it comes to scheduling individual workouts.
"Agents are in control of less and less these days," said Raptors senior director of player personnel Jim Kelly. "They can't control salaries (of players entering the NBA via the draft because those are slotted by the league). Maybe they look at these workouts as something they can control."
