Regarding the salary cap, Wolves' owner Glen Taylor said, "we've got ourselves in a situation next year where we're low enough so that we could go out and try to bring in a free agent, and in this particular case I'm talking about maybe a free agent that has some star quality and experience."

The Wolves will be $10 to $12 million under the cap next year, and Taylor believes some stars will consider Minnesota if they believe they are close to having a winning team.
