Heat president Pat Riley is still focused on reducing the team's luxury tax bill prior to February's trade deadline.

The team signed guard Carlos Arroyo to a $1.1 million contract that isn't guaranteed unless he's on the roster beyond Jan. 10, according to the Miami Herald.

Miami is operating about $3 million above the tax threshold on payrolls that exceed $69.9 million.
