Magic general manager Otis Smith says guard C.J. Watson was the one free agent that got away this summer.

Orlando offered Golden State a sign-and-trade for Watson that he felt was very generous.

"You wouldn't believe what we offered them," Smith told the Orlando Sentinel. "I think it got personal."
