The Nuggets are in the midst of a tight race in the Northwest Division, and coach George Karl has set another goal for his club.

Karl wants Denver to set a team record for wins.

The franchise mark for NBA wins is 54, while the 1974-75 ABA Nuggets hold the club mark with 65 victories.

After losing to Sacramento on Sunday night, Denver will need to go 15-3 to finish the season with an NBA-record 55 wins.

"To do that, we've got to have a great March," Karl said. "We're off to kind of a tough start, but the schedule definitely comes our way. We have 11 home games. If we would say, win 10 of them, I think then we would have a chance to get the record of 54 wins."
