It had been previously reported that Eddy Curry was close to returning to the New York Knicks, but the big man revealed on Monday that he is weeks away from even returning to practice, the New York Daily News is reporting.

There are concerns that Curry is suffering from an arthritic right knee.

Curry reiterated that he wants to be 100% healthy before he plays again.

"I think I'm close," Curry said. "I don't know. It all depends on how I feel. If I keep healing the way I am, I'm not too far away. I'm feeling better every day. I'm not quite where I want to be, but it's getting better."
