Miami guard Jason Richards is out for the entire 2008-09 season after suffering a tear of his ACL, according to South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Richards, an undrafted rookie out of Davidson, signed a two-year contract with the Heat earlier this offseason. With Richards injured, Miami only has Marcus Banks and Mario Chalmers under contract at point guard. However, Chris Quinn, who started 13 games last season, has two standing contract offers from the Heat. "It's up to Quinny," Heat President Pat Riley said. "We've offered him a couple years from the qualifying offer. He hasn't been able to bring us an offer. We want Quinny back. So he has the choice." |
