With the United States aflame after The New Yorker's satirical cartoon of Barack and Michelle Obama, I am now too afraid to put my toe into the satire arena.

Instead I will simply make mention of the below press release that seems to be satirical in nature but is all too real and true.

The Oklahoma City NBA franchise announced on Wednesday that fans can be among the first to own shirts or caps with the same logo worn by Oklahoma City players during the Orlando Pro Summer League. Apparel featuring the temporary OKC logo will be available at several Oklahoma City sporting goods stores and shops in Will Rogers World Airport. The NBA plans for items to be on sale at the NBA Store in New York City or online at nbastore.com by Thursday.

Local Oklahoma City retailers have temporary OKC NBA apparel for sale.

My Xavier McDaniel Sonics' jersey is being buried in a time capsule in my backyard for when the city of Seattle finally gets their act together and builds a new arena to replace one that is only 15 years old, pays a huge franchise fee, and is as relevant as the Charlotte Bobcats .
