The man Bill Walton once dubbed “a true gentleman of the game” is back in the spotlight again after camera crews caught him pumping his fist “Arsenio Hall style” during a regular season Laker game in which the team featured short, revealing throwback athletic shorts.

Sitting in Jack Nicholas’s seat, Buster was able to talk Mr. Fox into a post-game interview, hoping to get an update on the amazing life of the former Laker forward. Buster realizes this game took place months ago; however, when it comes to a Rick Fox interview, it is never too late to post the gospel according to Fox.

Buster – Rick, you are a phenomenon! What are you doing with yourself these days?

Rick Fox – Well as you know, Buster, I have just finished a new movie, Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns”.

Buster – Is that the guy on the TBS network who wears the silly wig and shouts the catch phrase?

Rick Fox – Tyler Perry is a brilliant man, a true American artist. This movie is a virtual tour de force.

Buster – Indeed. Well, your Hollywood career is really taking off. You’ve come a long way since “He Got Game”.

(The reader must recall that Rick Fox once played the enthusiastic and helpful potential teammate to then actor-turned-NBA basketball player Ray Allen. Rick Fox provides Ray Allen (portraying Jesus Shuttlesworth) with an innocent tour across Big State University, presenting Mr. Allen some of the positive aspects of the University.)

Rick Fox – We all know that movie was just the beginning of what many reviewers are calling an illustrious film career. In “Meet the Browns” I take on more of a lead role, charming and handsome. It is the part I was born to play.

Buster - Your 2006 performance as Fabrizio in the movie “Mini’s First Time” not a success. Why?

Rick Fox – Well, the script for “Mini’s First Time” was written in a sort of obsolete vernacular. “Mini’s First Time”, (indistinguishable sound). Listen, Buster, I got to go. I’m leaving.”

Rick Fox then left and ran towards the scene of the crime where Jackie Christie hit him with her purse.
