Kevin Love is visiting Boston this weekend, hanging out at bars near TD Garden, fraternizing with New England Patriots players and walking the streets of the city.

Love took a picture with a Harvard graduate on Saturday that went viral on the Internet. He is also expected to attend the Red Sox game on Sunday.

Love, 25, has one more season left on his contract and his representatives have reportedly told the Minnesota Timberwolves their desire for a trade. The Boston Celtics are believed to be a suitor for Love.

When approached at a local hotel, Love said, “I’m sorry man, I can’t do nothing [in terms of talking], I can’t.”

Love averaged 26.1 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 4.4 assists this season. He said during NBA All-Star weekend that he was intrigued by Boston, impressed with Brad Stevens but was unfamiliar with the city.

“I’ve never really spent much time in Boston. I don’t know it too well,” Love said in February. “But I think as far as playing there, we love competing against those guys. I think they have a great coach and they have a ton of youngsters that are up-and-comers.

“Boston is a great city. I’m sure free agents would love to go there, especially with Stevens as a coach. He’s a guy that can win basketball games. He gets guys to play for him. They’ve been having good success there, even in his first year, and he has a lot of young players. The coach has a lot to do with it, but yeah, Boston is a great place.”

Vinny Del Negro has emerged as a serious candidate for the Minnesota Timberwolves head coaching vacancy.

The Wolves are searching for a replacement for Rick Adelman.

Del Negro most recently was head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports that Del Negro's candidacy is more about developing Ricky Rubio than selling Kevin Love.

Jon Krawczynski of the AP reports that there are "no legs" to reports linking Del Negro to the Wolves.

The Sacramento Kings have expressed interest in trading for Kevin Love, according to a source.

The Kings have let the Minnesota Timberwolves know that they are open to trading for the All-Star forward without assurance he would re-sign with them.

Sacramento could offer the No. 8 pick in the NBA draft and a combination of players for Love, envisioning DeMarcus Cousins and Love playing alongside each other.

The Kings had a 28-54 record this season and missed the playoffs for the eighth straight season.

The Washington Wizards are a "stealth candidate" for Kevin Love, whose future with the Minnesota Timberwolves has been put in question recently.

Love's father, Stan, played for the then-Bullets in the 1970s and gave his son the middle name "Wesley" after Wes Unseld.

Love has a soft spot for the Wizards.

Any potential deal, however, could ultimately die if the Timberwolves ask for Bradley Beal.

Dave Joerger has told the Memphis Grizzlies that he will stay with the team as head coach.

The Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves have hit an impasse over compensation after discussing during the weekend.

The Timberwolves reportedly do not want to pay compensation for a coach who could be let go without a deal.

Joerger has met with both Flip Saunders and Glen Taylor about the Timberwolves' head coaching vacancy.

Dave Joerger met with Glen Taylor on Saturday and is discussing with his family to accept the Minnesota Timberwolves' coaching job.

Talks between both sides are advancing.

Joerger has also interviewed for the opening with Flip Saunders.

The Memphis Grizzlies will reportedly seek compensation if Joerger decides to join the Timberwolves.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves are two of the NBA teams that have contacted Billy Donovan about their open head coaching positions.

Donovan revealed in an interview that he has heard from NBA teams but is committed to stay with Florida.

The Cavaliers have reached out to experienced coaches such as Lionel Hollins and George Karl while searching the college ranks.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have made "significant progress" in their attempts to hire Dave Joerger as their new head coach.

Joerger remains under contract with the Memphis Grizzlies and the two teams have yet to work out compensation details.

The Wolves can offer draft picks and/or cash to Memphis.

One source said Thursday that Joerger landing in his home state with the Wolves is "the way this thing is headed."

Flip Saunders served as a mentor to Joerger when he broke into coaching.

The Golden State Warriors believe they have a legitimate shot at trading for Kevin Love.

Love is believed to prefer a trade to either the Warriors or Chicago Bulls.

"You know we'll be aggressive," one Warriors source said. "We usually get our guy."

The Warriors could package David Lee, Harrison Barnes and their 2015 first round pick (traded after June 26) in a deal for Love. Golden State doesn't want to include Klay Thompson, who become eligible for a contract extension this offseason.

The Bulls, Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns can presumably offer better deals for Love.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have received permission to interview Dave Joerger, who is currently head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Joerger grew up in Staples, Minnesota and often attended Flip Saunders' practices at Target Center nearly 20 years ago.

According to a source, both Joerger and the Grizzlies want to part ways. Neither party, however, wants to leave money on the table.
