LOL @ bringing up a quote from 2005 that turned out to be absolutely, without a doubt, 100% correct and turning it against Ray Allen.

Kobe's going to ravage Ray Allen, and then proceed to do what he did to San Antonio.

"I think the point production is not going to be so much what people are going to look at because (Tracy) McGrady did it in Orlando, Allen (Iverson) did it in Philly. Can you win a championship? I think that's the question. Carrying guys on your back and making everybody better."

That's exactly what Kobe did for two years...

he needs two and a half good players to be a legitimate playoff contender or win a championship

Gasol, Odom, and Fisher..that IS two and a half!(and bynum)

in about a year or two he'll be calling out to Jerry Buss that 'We need some help in here,' or 'Trade me,'

Hey, that did happen!!

Damn man, Jesus can tell the future!

Is this really news. They have played head to head a bunch of times since then. Ray when he was in Seattle played Kobe straight up in some of those games. They had some very good matchups. Ray is now a third option and Kobe is the MVP of the league.I'm sure the media is going to bring up those comments but its really old news.

I could care less what Ray Allen said about Kobe I just don't care for the guy because he was an annoying **** in "He Got Game".

Wow, let's bag on Ray Allen for telling the truth. Ray was just saying he would have done everything possible to keep Shaq as a teammate.

If Ray Allen guards Kobe then this will be a long series for the Celtics. Kobe is faster, bigger, stronger, and a flat out better player. He does not scare me one bit in this series.

I doubt he'd be saying the same thing if Shaq had actually been his teammate. Notice how organizations who end up trading him don't miss him anymore?

I don't find that to be coincidental. Kobe has his share of blame with what went wrong but Shaq is no angel either. He's been bounced from too many teams for me to think otherwise.

Yeah, the only way this would be a legitimate thread is if the quotes were made recently....2005 doesn't quite cut it.
