Some new info:

An expert on gang violence, was quoted from an interview expressing that all the NBA did was stir up unnecessary controversy.

The sign was supposedly a piru bloods sign. This group resides in Pierce's home town of Englewood.

piru stands for - pimps in red uniforms.

The reason the NBA reacted was they saw hundreds of people on message boards, gang members, that it was a sign to them. So the signal even if not meant to be a gang sign was received by many.

In fact, apparently there is a youtube clip, that generated over 100,000 viewers.

Now a far fetched theory, is that when Pierce got stabbed, earlier in his career, who is to say that it wasn't related to some punks in a gang.

This may all be over blown, but i thought i would share, cause i found it interesting.

Agreed, who gives a damn? If Pierce didn't play for a Boston team (which it's trendy nationally to hate any team from Boston now, since the media gave everyone that boner last year during the Patriots/Sox seasons), this would be much ado about nothing.

It's Inglewood ,nightstarstolen and no matter what Paul says it was it was the Piru sign everybody here in L.A. was laughing their ass off.

Yes, it was just a coincidence that he's from Inglewood and used a gang sign from the area.

I mean, come on, it's completely normal for angry people to make that hand gesture at others who they want to intimidate. The number 3 is a well known insult in America.
