The Hornets are our New Team!

Post#1 » by paulpressey25 » Sun Feb 17, 2008 5:23 pm

I went through the thread. It was hard to get a consensus other than these four teams got the most support:

Phoenix Suns

Utah Jazz

Golden State Warriors

New Orleans Hornets

Vote for who you think should be the Bucks board alternate team we try to follow down the stretch. I'll keep the voting open until the Bucks season starts back up on Wednesday.

I don't know who I'm voting for. I can see good arguments for all of these teams and each one has the chance to go deep in the playoffs. All are underdog teams like Milwaukee.

New Orleans.

How is Phoenix an underdog team? I guess if being picked to go to the WC finals and POSSIBLE not win the West is an underdog, I wish they were like the Bucks. :D

I like Steve Nash a lot...every time he goes to the basket, i always think he's going to take a forced, selfish shot and most of the time...he dishes off at the last minute and makes an unbelievable pass.

They are not big market team like New York, Chicago, LA

They never won championship

Majority of their players never played in finals (Nash, Hill, Amare, Bell, Diaw, Barbosa)

They have "european" coach (not really but he did spend most of his life in Europe and I did watch his games)

They have been victim of refs in previous years

This is their last huray

We all love their players

LETS GO SUNS

Fine all you guys voting for the Suns can move down there with the old people while those voting for Nawlins can move down there for Mardi Gras. I got the beads. 8)

The Celtics are a team I've been following some. I love Ray Allen still, even though I knew it was time to trade him when we did, and I hope he can win a ring.

The old people are around Tucson more. In Phoenix area and surrounding area, you have hot ASU girls near Tempe and hot girls with crazy bodies in Scottsdale. It is like the plastic surgery capital of the world. People there, girls in particular really are much better looking on average. And here is the kicker. You would think they would have attitudes since they care so much about their physical appearance but it is in fact the opposite. There are so many hot girls there that a hot girl isn't really special anymore or do they get the same level of attention that they would here. Its an interesting dynamic because you will meet hot women who literally don't know how hot they are so they just end up being cool down to earth gals.

Plus I am a co-owner of a business down there and my other co-owners are down there so moving there will probably have to happen eventually anyway if the thing takes off. Plus my best friend pretty much lives there and I just think I have a better shot meeting a woman I can settle down with down there.

I have always been partial to Phoenix because I was a fan of them even before the Nash renaissance.

But screw it, Nawlins has been growing on me and the Chris Paul commercial in support of bowling was hilarious and did the trick for me. Plus twirly threatened me with death if I didn't vote for them. :eyebrows:

1)Boston-How can you now cheer on Ray and KG?

2)Golden State-their fans get in the game big time and they are very fun to watch

3)Phoenix-they would have been #2 before they got Shaq...Nash and G Hill deserve a ring.

4)Denver-Iverson, Camby and Karl have all tasted the Finals, now need a title.

I'm also cheering on the Lakers, Hornets and Jazz.

BTW the Bucks are only like 4 games out of a playoff spot, I'm not giving up on them until they are eliminated.

If the Bucks aren't doing well, the NBA isn't worth watching.

I voted New Orleans. BTW, Dwight Howard has made me a Magic fan.
