I'm not playing up Mayo's accomplishments, I'm downplaying Rose's. He wasn't Chris Paul from November through February.

If the Bucks would decide to trade Bogut (don't see it happening) to MN, I'd want more than just the #3 for him. I'd want Gomes or Smith as well. However, they are both FA's - Can they be traded?

It all comes down to this, the NBA is a star league, if you are fairly certain that you can acquire on by moving Bogut you have to consider it. However, a solid #5 is very difficult to acquire.

I can see the Bucks including Mo Williams or Desmond Mason's ending contract to close a deal with Minnesota. Minnesota is rebuilding and going young, so they will be looking to dump Marko Jaric's contract. Fortunately for us, he'd be a real solid fit here.

I make an 8+CV+Mason for 3+Jaric deal in a second. Anyone disagree?

I agree that it is not a forgone conclusion that we want to move up to #3 to take Mayo. I suspect that Love is the one that Skiles and Hammonds really want.

Also, in terms of a deal with Minny, Marko Jaric is trash. And I wouldn't take Antoine Walker in any scenario.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hammond shocked people and traded up to 3 and took Love. I've said before it wouldn't surprise me if Love became the third-best player in this draft and I don't know if anyone really has a good grasp on who Hammond likes in this draft. I don't think I'd trade Yi/8 for Love; I'm not that sold on him. But I'd give serious thought to Villanueva/8 for him. Maybe that would open the door to move Yi in another deal.

Does anyone know whether SI's Ian Thomsen has good sources? Personally he's a complete unknown to me, but today we are confronted by two new bits of Westbrook info. Westbrook supposedly has a promise from someone drafting earlier than the Bucks, and Thomsen's new mock draft today has Westbrook going #4 to Seattle/OKC, the earliest I've heard his name mentioned by far.

Westbrook @ 4 is a little crazy to me. I have to imagine that if Presti wants Westbrook, he'll trade down a few spots to do so.

Jaric is a very good defender and passer and is extremely versatile. I think he'd be a real good fit here, even if he'd be (very slightly) overpaid. If it closes a deal for a player we think will become a star (Love or Mayo or whoever) I don't see why we'd be opposed to take hm on, especially if we plan on trading Redd and/or Mo in a deal where we receive some cap relief.

Jaric is really, really bad. I don't see any way he can only be slightly overpaid unless he's making the league minimum.

The wiretap says the Wolves worked out Brandon Rush. I'm fairly certain he is not being consider for the 3rd pick. But he could be considered at 8... :nod:

Marko Jaric always looks like he just got off a 28 hour international flight. Unshaven, drowsy, confused, probably smells bad...

But as far as the things that matter go, he makes poor decisions, is not a good shooter, and lacks toughness. I can't see Hammond being interested, and I can't see Skiles giving him any kind of playing time.

No. You don't take someone just because he's "big" when he has no talent and is overpaid. If you want a big stiff guard draft one in the second round. Jaric is absolutely worthless. Come on press.

Ok, there as of right now looks to be a trade about done and no it doesnt involve Bogut or Yi.

Expect right now there will be a draft night deal of some sort.
