Don't worry, when JT gets a ring, it's automatic.

Thats not sad, thats awesome (so long as its not Boston thats causing that limitation of course)

A big ask, but I "just" want a Celtics dynasty while the Lakers sucks, reverse of the Shaq/Kobe era. It was happening in 2007 until they were gifted Gasol. It had a chance again in 2018 until they were gifted LeBron and AD. It will never happen

But this Nuggets team just doesn’t have me terrified lol. I think the Wolves beat them anyways though, tbh.

They can beat them because they are bigger, athletic, have more scorers, and because antman is just cocky enough to be intimidated by the nuggets.

All the media are already raving about antman comparing him to MJ and Kobe. Morant won’t be the face ever. He lacks the talent. All he does is jump. Awful shooting for a guard.

Not automatic. If JT gets a ring, i think he will play much better, and could be a front runner for mvp the following season. Pressure’s off, but he can’t play the way he’s playing now.

Yeah, I agree.

But a star player playing in Boston will be a much better face of the NBA than an Ant in Minnesota.

It's always a glorious day when LeBron and the Fakers are eliminated.

We could have a three day stretch when the Lakers, Bucks, Heat and Sixers all get knocked out of the playoffs.

They are the best duo since Stockton-Malone. Actually they are even better than them.

Tyrese Haliburton questionable, Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo doubtful for Pacers vs Bucks Game 5

NBA needs to do something about the injuries we are seeing, it wasn't always like this.

Rooting for the Cavs to win games 5 & 7. They still don't have the wings to cover JT and JB even though I already expect Mitchell to be a pain in the ass and for guys like Strus, LeVert, and Niang to have historic shooting if we face them.

They expend more effort and they need to cover more space in today's NBA. In the 80s/90s, it's just mostly the guards who go out beyond the arc to defend. In just the last 10 years, teams travel 2 more miles per game.

I doubt they want to recude the number of games. $$.

I still think they need to go back to the old preseason format.

You make an interesting point about modern defenses, I wonder if there might be value in factoring durability to regular season defensive game plans; give up more points in exchange for fewer injuries.

But anyways, every season when I watch the NCAA tourney in recent years, I am reminded that serious, season-ending injuries are not nearly as common in college ball, as they are in the NBA. Age might be a factor but I'm not sure it is even a big factor.

I wonder if the shortened, 40 minute games....or otherwise just the shortened playing times, might be a bigger factor than the number of games. Shortened regular season games would mean, effectively, the same ticket and tv revenue, and they would make the sport slightly easier to follow for the masses.

I'm unsure who I want to win tonight in CLE/ORL. It'll be 3-2 either way but which team winning tonight gives the best chance of a game 7?

Short of playing through it, I truly dont know what the variable is. Medical science is far beyond what it was in say the 80s and before. Were guys just playing through injuries more? Have athletes reached a point where they are so powerful it increases the risk of damage to their bodies (think Kaio-ken attack for any DBZ nerds out there)?

Career MPG are down in the past 20 years, total games played are down. What is the root cause?

7 games series, each game goes to triple OT?

Just ask KG about star recognition in Minne vs Boston
