Re: Al Horford "Fountain of Youth" Thread
Among active players, Horford has the 9th most playoff wins since coming to the league. Only Harden and Lebron have more postseason wins and didn't play for the Spurs or Warriors. Only 3 franchises have more playoff wins than him during that span -- BOS, GSW, and MIA.

Re: Al Horford Thread
There are only 13 NBA players all-time who tallied 13K points, 8.5K rebounds, and 3.5K assists in their career. 12 are retired Hall-of-Famers. The 13th is Lebron James.
Al Horford only needs to play 60 games and average what he averaged last season (10/6/3) to join that elite club.

Made Three-Pointers and 3FG%...
Before Turning 30: 109 makes (34.0%)
After Turning 30: 645 makes (38.0%)
Most of his 30s were spent in a Celtics uniform (five seasons and counting). 490 makes as a Celtics player at 38.9% clip.

When he has legs, he can still affect the game like a top ~20 player IMO
I would rather have a top ~20 player for short minutes than a mediocre player for 30 minutes. Not sure it would work like that, but, maybe...

Don't think any of the above players sat out B2B FWIW.
24 is about right for me..

But what does “when necessary” mean? Usually it’s a phrase for exceptions, but Bobby is tweeting like this will be the norm. If that’s the case then it’s “necessary” because it gives us the best chance to win, I’d rather PP be our first guard than Kornet be our first big, and White and Holiday are too good to ride the bench.

Sounds like Al is fine with being on the bench when all our top 6 guys are available but he expects to start if one of them is missing. So more of a sixth starter situation than trying to make him a permanent 6th man like Brogdon last year (who would stay in a bench role even when multiple starters were out).

Re: Al Horford Thread
It would be a shame if he retires without a ring. Maybe last two chances this year and next.
