Celtics in 5.

I said there wasn't a chance in hell the Celtics get to a elimination game in the ECF. Frankly I wanna say they don't even get to 6 with anyone.

But I've seen their lulls over the years so I can't really say that with confidence even though I believe it.

When Al was great at defending guards on the perimeter, he'd slide sideways to guard them as they attacked the hoop. Now. like most players, he usually turns and gives chase if somebody gets past him. I fear that that part of his elite defense is in the past.

This is the 7th straight game Allen has been listed as questionable. The Cavs are playing games with the injury report, should be fined.

Yes, Mitchell is a dog but keep putting pressure on him on both sides, especially by Holiday making him play defense and that calf will eventually turn his legs to rubber.

I think he's leaving unless they reach the Finals. They have no chance if he sits out. It they lose (which is still likely even if he plays), it would be easier to plot his exit while protecting himself from further injury or worse, injury to his Achilles. Cavs would then have a choice of trading him in his final season or letting him walk for nothing (next-to-nothing if S&T).

Yes, Mitchell's a dog, but even dogs get hurt.

Actually yeah. He reportedly is not ready to return, either.
They should have listed him as "Out", longer-term.

This is Cleveland's last stand.

If they can't defend the land in this game, this will their last game in Cleveland.

A guy who doesn't leave the game he gets injured in then gets listed on the next injury report pretty much always plays. I don't really think there's much chance he misses the next game, the question will be if he is in any way limited physically. They need him at 100% to have a chance.

There's some truth to that.

Even though the Jays have lots of playoff experience, focus is still an issue from time to time.

That's why losing Game 2 to Miami and Cleveland happened.

Horford is fine, but I'll cut his minutes
It is part of the gameplan (Joe made an adjustment and I eat crow, kudos to him). Let Donovan cook Horford in one-on-one plays, and this way get the others uninvolved, losing their rhythm. This also makes Donovan work harder to score, losing his energy in the second half. Something like part 2 of the Jrue attack on offense.

I think Tilman can also play the Horford role of being cooked and getting the Cavs out of rhythm. Don't need to play Horford 40 minutes

We need to kill them tonight. Last couple of years we are a better away team than home team in the playoffs

True.

I will be surprised if Tillman does not get minutes in this game.

I think Queta could bother Mobley. Why not give him loke 5-7mins, just to bang with Mobley. Who cares if he gets 4-5 fouls in that stretch. Goal is to wear mobley out.

I just don't think there's any point in gameplanning to stop a guy who's averaging 12.6 shots per game in the series, 11 shots per game for the season and 12 per for the playoffs. He clearly doesn't have the skillset to be a focal point of the offense, whether in a pick and roll or punishing mismatches. The difference between Mobley having a good game and an ordinary game is like 2 points.
