7 weeks left in regular season, so I'm assuming he's done for the season.

Tank Tank Tank Tank

We are currently projected at 9. If we go on a massive L streak we could probably get at high as 6.

This is the absolute best thing that could happen for us right now.

I'm really excited to see what we look like without Young Trae.

In the next 4-6 weeks every question will be answered:

  • Are the Hawks better without Trae Young?
  • Can Dejounte lead a potent attack as the primary driver?
  • Is Bogdan efficient enough to be a #2 option full time?
  • Will D Hunter thrive in a Quin Snyder offense without Trae hogging the ball each possession?
  • Can Jalen handle being the best player on a playoff team?
  • Is Kobe ready to contribute consistently?
  • Should we choose between Trae and DeJounte this summer...or just jettison them both and rebuild around Jalen Johnson?

And if things do fall apart, we simply move up in this year's draft for a shot at Reed Sheppard, Cody Williams or Zaccharie Risacher.

There is no downside!

For the record, my condolences to Trae on getting injured. That does stink.

I doubt he sits out the remainder of the season. I do look forward to seeing how the team does during his absences.

He's having surgery on Tuesday and being re-evaluated 4 weeks post-op. We'll have 3 weeks left in the season. I guess it all depends what the evaluation brings.

That's quite the production for finger surgery.

Just thinking it's ironic that such a small, seemingly insignificant part of a finger requires a full on surgical suite to repair...and a sling to wear in recovery.

(I've broken multiple fingers playing basketball over the years. The amount of time, money and rehab it takes to repair those things is surprisingly high.)

A lot of the answers I seek are slowly becoming very obvious now:

So no idea when he'll be back and no timetable to the next update.

I think it's best if he continues to sit but I do miss watching him play.

Hmmmmmmmm

Team is rolling right now.

Do we risk throwing off the chemistry by adding an undersized, ball dominant, volume scorer to the mix next month?
