No longer eligible for MIP due to not meeting the 65 game threshold.

Coach needs to make sure Jalen receives more attempts next season and he should average 20ppg. He shoots at a high percentage so it's time to feed him more.

I want to see JJ develop as SF. He absolutely has the skills on both O and D to flourish. Why do some of you want him at PF?

He has the handles, shooting and movement ability to play at SF and gives us a size advantage which our team sorely lacks

He is what we wanted Dre to be

Jalen definitely has the build of a SF. But he lacks the shooting touch to play there FT.
He shot 35% from deep this season and is only shooting 33% from deep for his career. So throwing him out on the perimeter seems like moving him away from his strength, attacking the paint with the ball. Also at PF, he can take bigger, slower PFs off the dribble.

Biggest thing for JJ at PF, he then shares the court with 3 wing players (PG, SG, SF) which keeps the floor spaced for him to drive and dish. Where if he's the third wing, that leaves two other big men on the court potentially clogging the lane.

It's really interesting that Jalen came up in HS and College as a SF.

And actually played a fair amount at Center in College Park.

Not sure what to do with that info...

I would prefer that he up his 3pt% and use all those skills to play SF and help the Hawks play bigger. No doubt his skills play at PF as well but under-sized. We have long been under-sized at every position more than long enough

JJ is the point 4. Him being able to play that allows for a much more dynamic 3 in the lineup in place of DH whenever they acquire him.

Atp they need to have a bigger rangy guard next to Trae like a 6-8, 6-9 guy. Plus length from 2-5 and they are ready to go.

Hard to have length at 2-5 when you want to start 6'8" JJ at the 4
