Bigger question, would Quin Snyder even want to stick around for a rebuild?

The team's current record and future outlook are comparable to that of a rebuilding team. What's the difference?

This getting the picks back talk is a real loser direction.

This team is losing now and has few legitimate assets. What's the difference?

I would respectfully disagree. Detroit and Charlotte have the outlook of a rebuilding team. Pistons win 2 in a row and it's cause to celebrate. Hornets win 3 in a row, and their fanbase is ecstatic. Ignoring the fact that both teams are 30-40 wins below .500.

With Trae and Quin onboard, the Hawk's baseline is reasonably a .500 team.

Look at what's out there for some of these rumored deals....SAS has no reason to just offer us the picks back. They'll just build ANOTHER dynasty while we do what exactly? Try to hit on another star? While we still stuck and give them our top pick?
What the Spurs Could Offer in a Trade

There’s every indication the Spurs and Hawks will revisit the Trae Young trade talks at some point in the offseason. The Spurs could build a trade package around Devonte’ Graham, Keldon Johnson, Cedi Osman and multiple first-round picks. They own three first-rounders in 2024 alone — their own, a protected 1-6 pick from the Raptors, and a 1-14 protected pick from the Hornets.

If the Hawks do plan to hit the reset button, collecting a chest of draft picks could be the best path forward — a strategy that has worked wonders for franchises such as the Celtics and Thunder.

SAS understands our desperation and incompetence.

Detroit and Charlotte are tanking teams.

This seems like a decent framework to begin negotiations...

What does an extension for Ingram look like? He has 1 year left after this season.
Would we even need to include OO considering Ingram's pending FAcy?

Dude, if we could get an additional lottery pick + Jalen Green for Dejounte Murray, we'd have to jump on that, right?

I would rather Amen Thompson. Would Jalen even start for Atlanta? Jalen has tremendous talent but he has severe issues like Smoove but doesn't have the defense to fall back on. I'll pass. I would love to trade Murray for a mid 1st this year and a wing that can shoot 3s and defend multiple positions with legit size.

Nah. The ideal approach for Jalen Green (right now) is using him as a microwave scorer off the bench. He could become Quin's new version of Jordan Clarkson. You rehab his value and get hm to play better defense, he'd become a tremendous trade asset down the line.

Got it! He's been tremendous the last 7 days.

That kind of haul is a no brainer. Houston never considers it though.

Mikal Bridges

What else can we expect to receive from Brooklyn if we trade Trae Young to them?
