What would it take to get Ben Simmons?
Would a S&T for John Collins straight up do it or Kevin Huerter and #20 for Simmons?
My think would be Trae and Ben Simmons strengths and weaknesses would cover for each other in the same backcourt.
Thoughts?

I wholeheartedly agree that Ben Simmons and Trae Young complement each other perfectly on the court.
I seriously doubt that either of those packages gets us anywhere near Ben. His value took a hit in the playoffs, but he's still an All-NBA, All Defensive Team, All Star player on a long term contract.
I expect the bidding starts at Capela, Collins, Huerter, #20.
NOTE: Capela and Simmons can't share the floor, so including him in trade isn't really all that crazy. Though he'd obviously have to be rerouted to a third team as Philly has no need for him.
I'd probably ask for Tyrese Maxey and a future 2nd rounder to even the value a bit.
A lineup of:
Simmons
Gallinari
D Hunter
Bogdan Bogdan
Trae
could be really deadly. And we'd have the opportunity to upgrade the front court position next to Ben as soon as 2022.

Failure is a great teacher. Humiliation is an even greater motivator.

He’s too laid back to get mad and want to make up for failure. He’s not built like a Trae. Basketball doesn’t seem to be Ben’s life, which is fine. He’s not built from that old school fabric. He’s a super new age player. Emotional and mentally weak.

Exactly.
Failure can't teach you if you're convinced it's not your fault.

......and now this
I’m not gonna write this in the story, but I’ll tell this to you guys and you guys can do what you want with it. They haven’t been able to really even get in touch with Ben since the season ended. Like, there was an intent to have a workout plan or whatever — like in any offseason. That’s always kind of been the case, that the Sixers haven’t been able to align with a development plan [for Ben]

.....he also pouted when he had to play offball in 2019 when that role went to Jimmy Butler, this was one of the reasons Philly didn't bring back Butler.

Re: What would it take to get Ben Simmons?
I’m telling you guys. The entire NBA world is laughing at this kid. He was humiliated in prime time and his teammates, his coach and his city turned their back on him. Blaming him for losing a series they were heavily favored to win.
His entire approach and psychology has to change to get back what he lost.
There’s an opportunity to rebuild an elite talent and acquire him at a discount.
I understand reluctance, but it takes elite talent to win a title. Ben could be our Draymond. Secondary playmaker, elite defender, screener.
But I do hear and understand the concerns about Ben.

They've been laughing at him since he was at LSU. Guy doesn't care about improving his game. The proof is there. Shame on all those who choose not to see it.

I don’t blame him. Maybe he doesn’t want basketball to be his life. That’s cool. Sippin Mai Tai’s and getting away with the Kardashians is prolly cool.. I mean I don’t know…
Just because someone is well endowed it shouldn’t mean they should be expected to play in porno movies…
I lost my train of thought im sorry. It’s hot and it’s summer time so..

At a discount... did you see what PHI are asking to TOR ? regarding his salary, adding him cost at least 2 of our good players, and I have a problem to see how we can get better by adding him if it cost more than 2 of our actual players

It appears the 76ers don't have a realistic value of Simmons. Until they do it makes little sense to engage/indulge them on the matter.

So Morey, Rivers and the Sixers are saying Ben Simmons has superstar talent but we can’t get it out of him because we aren’t good enough but somebody can so give us your gold and attempt to do what we’ve been attempting for 5 years now.. Ohhhhkay.
