Kobe Says Bring It Ray Allen

"He's going to be very selfish," Allen said of Bryant. "And he feels like he needs to show this league and the people in this country that he is better without Shaq. He can win championships without Shaq. So offensively, he's going to jump out and say, 'I can average 30 points. I can still carry the load on this team.'

"I think the point production is not going to be so much what people are going to look at because (Tracy) McGrady did it in Orlando, Allen (Iverson) did it in Philly. Can you win a championship? I think that's the question. Carrying guys on your back and making everybody better."

"If Kobe doesn't see he needs two and a half good players to be a legitimate playoff contender or win a championship, in about a year or two he'll be calling out to Jerry Buss that 'We need some help in here,' or 'Trade me,' " Allen said. "And we'll all be saying, 'I told you so,' when he says that."

I don't think it's wise to make such comments about Kobe before a Finals matchup whether or not they are true.

well this was a while back when Ray said it! Kobe and Lakers should take note of this as a bulletin board material! I know it's old but Kobe has a chance to shut Ray Ray Jesus *I'm struggling* up!

Wow, Ray Allen IS Jesus. He was right on.

He told him so.

At least Kobe listened...

Who's Ray Allen again?

I vaguely recall someone by that name playing for the Sonics, but if I'm thinking right just about all of the Ray Allen led Sonics teams sucked hard, and ole' Ray Ray had this habit of getting killed by someone by the name of Kobe Bean Bryant...

idk... ibtl...

I just call it as I see it, Kobe plays for himself, so if somebody hurts his feelings you can bet he will forget his teammates.

Yes what he said turned to be true, but what did Ray Ray do that makes him have validation to speak on Kobe being selfish?

Ray Allen hasn't been very good in the playoffs outside of a few games. You let Kobe not have to work to defend you, better watch out.

Ray is allowed to call out Kobe for anything, Ray is acclaimed as a classy guy in the NBA, maybe even the most classy, Kobe is placed in the opposite category.

Eh if you ever watched Allen on the Sonics you wouldn't be calling him that classy of a guy... Maybe he's all right off the court but on the court he's a weasel.

No he didn't. Kobe wouldn't have gotten those 2 and half good players if Buss gave Shaq his 30 million dollars a year.

How is Kobe the opposite of a classy guy? When has he come out and throws bullets at an opposing player?

And Fisher takes the win for the classy guy

I know you really hate him Pain but you will convert as did HarlemHeat  or maybe not since you're a Suns fan!
