Boston should probably lose. Just take into account, they have played a total of 14 games already in the Playoffs. I just can't see a team winning a title playing every series going 7.

Well, DET is the favourite in this series. It will be interesting to see how they respond. The pressure is on the pistons since now everybody expects them to win.

I expect a hard, physical battle. For Boston to win Ray Allen needs to play at least at a role player level. Hopefully Tony Allen will get a chance in the series...

Pistons

the Pistons are the better team.

If he's healthy, Billups will eat Rondo alive, and the Pistons have the bigs to keep Garnett reasonably in check. Celtics have a chance if Pierce plays out of his mind or Allen discovers that he has a pair in the postseason.

Otherwise Pistons in 6.

That hasn't happened the last few times Celtics played Detroit.

If Boston isn't finally stepping up and Detroit hasn't fallen asleep while they're resting this thing could be over very fast.

If not it could be a long series.

pistons with the sweep. Detroit will be the best team Boston has faced all playoffs and their experienced enough and tough enough to handle Boston.

Tossup. The first team to win a road game will win the series.

Its easy to pick Detroit since they closed their last series out quicker, but Boston didn't have the benefit of playing Orlando. Detroit may not have even gotten past Lebron. I think this will be a tough hard fought series and I really have no idea which way it will go. I'm leaning towards Boston though obviously.

Weak argument. Boston didnt have the benefit of playing Orlando? What makes you so certain that the Cs would have closed out the Magic any quicker especially considering that Boston took 7 against the Hawks and that Orlando has had sucess in the regular season against the C's? Also Detroit closed out Orlando playing without their best player for 3 games but everyone seems to want to ignore that fact.

So would you rather play Orlando or Cleveland?

Pierce is that much better than Prince?

Take a look at these playoff stats and playoff PER.

And Prince has played excellent D on Iguodala and Hedo.

As much as we rag on Saunders, he's actually been pretty good. His insistence on playing Jarvis Hayes is annoying though.

Billups>>>>>>>>>Rondo
Rip>>>>Ray? Ray didn't play any D on slow out of shape injured wally and pavlovic, they had all day to miss those wide open 3's
Prince<Pierce we don't need Prince to score 45, Pierce will not score 40 on Prince
Wallace=Garnett
McDyess>Perkins

Stuckey>>>>>>>>>>>>Sam I am, Tony Allen

Ratliff>PJ Brown
Posey>Hayes, Afflalo
Mad Max, Amir, Fabio> Powe, Irish good luck charm

Flip is gone if we lose to a team who has not won a road game in the playoffs.

Doc keeps his job if he doesn't get to the finals because the Celtics peaked too soon

It's so funny to me seeing all these

"Player X >>>> Player Y"

analyses.

Come on, I think the best argument to be made here is that Detroit as a team is playing really well while Boston as a team has been struggling. We can all wave our proverbial ****s around all we want, and posture and say "OMG Prince is like SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than Pierce!" but in the end everyone knows that it's really about how the team as a whole is playing.

At the moment I think that means Detroit has the edge, but that could easily change. Maybe game 7 woke Boston up, who knows?
