Detroit wins the series in 6 games - 7 is a decent possibility

I like Detroit having the edge because of how they match up against Ray Allen, Pierce, KG, and Rondo, and Boston against Billups, Hamilton. Also have a better bench, and I expect Detroit to win at least 1 game in Boston.

2 months ago I said Boston in 6.....but given the way the teams have played in the playoffs I gotta stay with Detroit.

McDyess has had some insane games, Stuckey has provided this team with more than just a rest for Billups and we've even Sheed in the post much more.

I really think Detroit needs to win early. You guys really see them winning game 7 in Boston?

The Pistons are probably the team most equipped in the league to do so. They have won many many tough road playoff games. That said, I think the Pistons will win in 6, so it won't matter anyways.

Rip will have no challenge on the floor. Ray Allen sucks too much, Pierce and Posey aren't fast enough to run around screens, and Tony Allen has too many torn ACL/MCLs these days to get by those screens. And even if they put Ronod on Rip, Rip can elevate over Rondo and Billups can stroll past the switch of Ray Allen on him. The Celts needed an all-star Ray Allen to make up for the guard postions, and they don't have him.

The biggest advantage of DET is going to come down to the collective experience of DET where Rondo and the rest of sophmores on BOS will turn the ball over while DET will be able to execute in teh half court and BOS will show some of that horrible halfcourt offense they've shown almost all the way through the playoffs.

Rip,Billiups,Max is going to cause havoc for BOS along with DET's defense & execution.

As a boston fan though, I'll keep my predection for the series to myself.

I predict at least one game where both teams are in the 60's. The two best defenses in the league.

Pistons win this series hands down. They're bigger, stronger and deeper then the Celtics. Pistons guards alone give them a heavy advantage.
Smooth, Stuck, Rip, Hunter can out play any Celtic guard. Then they can put Dyss or Sheed or Max on KG.

Tayshaun can and will give Paul fits, not only that he can also guard Ray and KG for certain stretches of the game.

Pistons in 6 I have no RESPECT for a team that hasn't won on the road in the playoffs.

Wow. An Celtic fan showing no bias in his analysis of this match-up. Major props to for keeping it real.

Count me in with the bunch that said Detroit in 6.

I think the Pistons just have the confidence and matchups to put a nail in the coffin that is the Celtics championship run. They are a tough, veteran team that performs consistently under playoff pressure, unlike the Cavs. I have not been impressed with the Celtics during the playoffs at all. This team does not have the same swagger that they had during the regular season, struggling to take out two clearly inferior teams en route to the Eastern Conference Finals. Boston simply can't afford to continue to use homecourt advantage as a crutch because as they start to play the better teams they are eventually going to get beat on their own floor. The Cavs had Boston in their sights at home in Game 1, Game 5, and Game 7. The Pistons will not look back if the Celtics give them an opportunity to blow the series wide open - they will put the pedal to the metal and not let up until they are in the Finals.

Pistons in 6. I think Boston will win one in Detroit but I think Detroit will pull 2 games in Boston.

Celtics in 5.

Pistons slide by with a win in game 2

The C's finally win on the road and do it two times on the road in game 3 and 4 and close out in 5. But thats just a prediction.

It should be a good one. Boston has struggled way more than anyone would have thought given their performance in the regular season. I voted Boston in 6 games and I think they'll finally win a game on the road. I could easily see Detroit winning this series as well but I'm sticking by my vote.

Boston in six

The Cavs and Hawks had the elements that will always give BOston struggles. Big, Fast athletic wings.

THe more structered style that this series will be played in will suit boston alot more then there previous two stops
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."
