There's a difference between the Spurs the Pistons and the Celitcs . The Spurs and the Pistons know what they want to do on offense the Celtics don't ...

The Celtics play the most idiotic offense these playoffs ...

San Antonio can be one of the more exciting teams in the league for me. They have a lot of steak shooters that can go off. When they're hitting those threes, when Manu is going off, the Spurs are a fun team to watch. And Tony Parker is fun to watch, he's just an amazing finisher.

I don't get the Spurs reputation for being boring, they aren't a boring team anymore, they are certainly don't deserve to be put in the same category as Boston and Cleveland.

Comparing Prince/Odom to Pierce is just as bad if not worse than comparing Rondo to Billups like many Celtics homers have around here. Rondo has put up his share of points, and will continue to do so, but that's because no one guards him. He's almost almost always the guy you double off of to send another defender towards KG/Pierce. And that's just in terms of scoring. Let's not even get into comparing Rondo/Billups as playmakers and leaders.

I never compared them. Rondo is obviously not at that point yet, but he is much quicker and he has blown by Billups in the past. The first game was especially bad. Rondo was running by him with ease, at least in the beginning before a few questionable calls got Rondo in foul trouble.

Yes i am serious they are no fun to watch at all . They had there chance in the first two rounds but now i'm rooting against them because they bored the hell out of me in these rounds.

That's just one person's opinion, but the TV ratings and merchandise sales show how popular the Celtics are. I don't think a lot of the TV viewers agree with your opinion.

You want to seriously tell they are fun to watch with their moronic offense they're playing ?

I don't see much moronic about it, other than some decisions Doc makes. This isn't about my opinion. The Celtics-Cavs game did very well and a Celtics-Pistons game was the most watched on ESPN earlier in the season. The Celtics bring in the ratings. Viewers enjoy watching them. A close 7-game Celtics-Lakers series will dominate anything else the NBA can put together at this point.

The Celtics get good ratings because they are in a pretty large market, have big names on the roster, and have a storied history, not because they themselves play exciting basketball.

When Rajon Rondo take the majority of your shots when you have Ray Allen , Paul Pierce and KG on your team ( and that happened ) there's something wrong in your offense.

Common sense says that if people found them boring they wouldn't watch them.

I'm not sure what game(s) you're referring to, but at least lately Rondo has shot more than Ray Allen, but not the other two.

The Celtics played the worst basketball of all teams left . I'm not a fan of any of the related teams and just want to see the best possible basketball and the Celtics don't provided it these playoffs .

Of course you as a Celtic fan will denie but still they really haven't play good basketball .

Oh, you mean like the kind that Paul Pierce gets when he trips over his own feet and miraculously ends up at the FT line? PP gets more BS calls than any other Celtic. All he has to do is throw his arm up into the air and flop to the floor and he's on the FT line. What a putz.

He may get calls once in a while, but there's been many, many plays this season where he's had calls against him as well. He's certainly nowhere in the league that many of the superstars are in.

I can't wait until they show Larry Legend's steal and DJ's layup from the 1987 series over and over again. I can never get sick of that play either.

well of course Paul does. He's the only guy on the Celtics that can drive and actually hit a layup when he does attack the rim. You just mad your defender can't stand in front of him. Get yourself a Artest,LeBron,Bulter.

I have seen enough of Detroit this year to issue a fair evaluation. Detroit fans what is the key for your team winning this series?

by bstein14
Obviously the key for Detroit is the 1-2-3-4 matchups.

I don't think either bench or Dice/Perkins will have enough of an impact to sway the series.

It's coming down to Billups/Rondo, Rip/Ray, Prince/Pierce, and Sheed/KG.

I think if Prince and Sheed can produce 13-16 PPG at a good %, and keep Pierce and KG shooting under 45% and scoring less than 20 PPG Detroit takes this series in 6 or less.

Detroit simply can't let Pierce and KG drop 25+ points on 50+% shooting.
