so its not hypocritical of the govt./society to advocate alcohol abuse and cigarettes then turn around and criminalize pot???

What I was saying is that you've been pretty hypocritical.

Who cares... but I question his mindset considering his team is in the playoffs. Don't you have anything better to say esp considering the state of your team at the present moment.

Everyone remember all the people that smoked way back in high school? And how many of your school sports teams players smoked? 100% of the NBA has atleast tried weed, no question.

haha I don't know why this is such a big deal. I'm pretty sure most nba fans knew that a good % of nba players blaze.

I definitely don't agree with howard coming out and admitting to it publicly, but come on... is anyone really surprised?

I can't believe people are being so casual about this, we are talking about drugs, when is that ever acceptable?

+1,000

Also what's up with people saying half of the NBA smokes weed?? I'd say more like 2-4 people on each team.... Why is it a big deal? Do you want your kids, who look up to these people, to do drugs because their favorite athlete does it???

I would beat my son's ASS if I found out he was smoking weed because his favorite baller does it

so do you know what its like to "lose" friends to REAL drugs?? try losing a friend in 6th grade off pills, hes dead, he isnt coming back. my best friend died last thanksgiving cause of drunken driving. i have another close friend who is a complete H head. cmon man, grow up and open your eyes to some REAL problems

Bro to tell you the truth...I could give two sh*ts about people dying from drugs

What? Should i feel sorry? Because people choose to ruin their lives?

Boy you live in a little twisted world man...You know who i feel bad for? The kids in Africa who i go to volunteer for...The kids that would give an arm and a leg just to get a proper meal everyday...A decent education

Kids who would give their life for 1 year in the life of an American

You think i feel bad for some dumbas$ kids who take life for granted and sh*t it away by doing drugs

No way buddy...No sympathy from me

Im from the streets bro...Everybody has choices in life and you live or die by those choices

I went from nothing, to earning a scholarship to a top University, to having a dream job...All through the power of will

It speaks to your character to which choices YOU make

Now open your eyes to that

Most athletes users use it as a painkiller. Of course it could be abused -- but it's an extremely rare pro-athlete that can be considered stoner, otherwise they wouldn't be a pro-athlete. Pro-athletes are the opposite of the government anti-drug campaign image of drug users as junkie anti-social failures.

It's use is also common in the NFL and among soldiers for the same reason.

it's funny the few in this thread are calling others as judgmental and hypocrites when they themselves won't even accept the fact that there are people out there who view all drugs as bad.

far be it from me to criticize people utilizing their freedom to choose how they want to live, but you'll always do better in life if you dont do drugs and abuse alcohol

If he stops during the season when they are drug testing him it's obvious that he isn't addicted.

Ive seen lives ruined over pot, including my own for a period of time.

My buddy was a straight A student on a full scholarship, started smoking weed, and lost it all.

Weed affects you, in a word it just makes you stupid from day to day, it makes you not care about things in life.

The only people who say weed isnt a problem are the stoners who do it

I also hear reefer users listen to massive amounts of negro jazz music and rape white women!
