That call costed the game for Utah.

they overturned the original call which they can't do unless they are positive they were wrong. to me it's tough for a official to overturn a call on a play that close. jazz got screwed by Steve Javie's crew. Doesn't that sound familiar :banghead:

Want to see bad officiating? Watch the Jazz game. They can't even look at baby-mac... TERRIBLE officiating, the only thing keeping this from being a 30 point rout...

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Sixer/Cavs game was one of the worse calls ever!
Andre Miller is a bad 3pt shooter.

It was travelling, sure...the other thing is he was fouled by Iguodala in the first step and by Williams in the second....

Some on the Wizard board always refer to him as LeTravel.

James gets away with traveling a lot and yesterday BEFORE the foul it was blatant. Cleveland got another gift.

To beat the Cavs in the playoffs the Wizards will have to also beat the refs now that they've got homecourt.
Bye bye Beal.

That call last night was out of line and the fact that the refs went and looked at the replay really makes me question whats really going on... David Stern needs to go

Are you kidding me? That travel was so blatant it's ridiculous.

Okay,

Although I too think it was an AWFUL call, and not the first time that LeBron has gotten away with this sort of thing, the procedure behind this review was technically sound.

The refs, at the end of the game, can only review plays that have "happened" - in this case, the (phantom) foul on Damon Jones. They were reviewing whether or not they had whistled before the buzzer went. Under NBA Rules, they have no ability to challenge an earlier call.

In *THIS* case, your ire should not be directed towards the refs, but rather, the league rules that handcuff them from doing this.

I was reading time magazine last week and they had 10 questions with David Stern, he claimed to have 'data' to prove stars do not get calls...but anyone with a pair of eyes can see certain players get away with a lot more than others...it's a joke how this leagues commissioner does nothing about the horrid officiating.

I would be happy if they had measures to help get rid of flopping, how stupid do you have to be not to see them?
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

See, thats whats wrong with the NBA right friggin there in the first two games of the playoffs. Valiant hard fought games by the road teams are thrown away at the end by blantant pandering to the crowd by the refs. God this league pisses me off.

I heard Stern just made the NBA Finals a casket match and the writers made the decision to turn Garnett heel.

Duncan is just so incredibly annoying. He just complains over every single little play that isn't called.

The refs just flat out suck. I didn't get to see the Cavs game but I'm sure it was the same way.

What does that have to do with anything? I'm sure if you actually watched the game that you would of seen the same thing, Duncan just wouldn't stop complaining. He isn't the only one I'm sure, but he's the only one I saw yesterday. And hey, if refs are going to let players call the game for them, then why not do it?

That's just why the NBA playoffs/finals will never be as popular as MLB, NFL, and March Madness.

I just think it's silly to get annoyed by Tim Duncan for complaining all the time when the guy in your avatar does it just as much with far more sucess.

lmao. Wade complains as much as Duncan?

Do you watch the NBA?

They might get the same amount of calls (arguable) but Wade definitely doesn't complain as much Duncan.
